Mr. Dodrill joined G&T after two clerkships with federal judges in West Virginia.  He practices primarily in the realms of commercial litigation and defending products liability and consumer-lending cases.  Mr. Dodrill also has experience representing individuals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit as appointed counsel.

In addition to practicing law, Mr. Dodrill is a Charleston City Councilman.  Elected to an at-large (city wide) seat, he is the vice-chairman of the city’s Public Safety Committee and a member of the Planning and Rules committees.

Before going to law school, Mr. Dodrill was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.  His sea duty included serving as an engineering officer, a deck officer, and as an amphibious-staff operations officer.  While in the Navy, he deployed overseas twice.
