Robert H Akers

Associate

Mr. Akers’ practice focuses on civil defense litigation. He has litigated cases in various areas including personal injury/wrongful death actions, products liability, mass tort litigation, and coal related injury cases, and has had both first and second chair trial experience in cases throughout the state.

Mr. Akers is a graduate of West Virginia University College of Law. Prior to law school, Rob attended Colgate University, where he served as captain of the Men’s Basketball Team. He was the recipient of the Jack Mitchell Leadership Award, and was a finalist for the George W. Cobb Fellowship Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership qualities and effective influence among peers.

Mr. Akers is admitted to practice law in all West Virginia state and federal courts. He is currently a member of the West Virginia Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia.
