Sarah Leonard Martin

Ms. Martin’s practice focuses on civil defense litigation and matters related to coal mine health and safety regulations and health care law.  In May 2011, Sarah graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law, where she served as a Student Attorney in the Child & Family Advocacy Clinic.  Sarah was a member of the 2010 National Moot Court Team, and, as the Public Relations Liaison of the Moot Court Board, Sarah was closely involved in the promotion and organization of the inaugural National Energy & Sustainability Moot Court Competition.  In her second year of law school, Sarah was awarded the American Bankruptcy Medal of Excellence and the CALI Excellence Award for Bankruptcy Law. 

Before attending law school, Sarah majored in Public Relations and graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.  Sarah also worked as a summer intern in the Appellate Division of the West Virginia Attorney General’s Office in the summer of 2009.
